I intentionally chose to create something different from the usual portfolios or personal websites you often see online.
Rather than just showcasing project pages filled with images and short blurbs, along with a glossy story of how amazing the projects were and how we were like superheroes solving all the problems, I wanted to break away from that standard approach.
How? Look at the following 3 steps:
1. Be human
Many of these traditional projects tend to lack depth in storytelling, failing to capture the genuine day-to-day challenges faced.
Challenges come from various sources: individuals, clients, internal dynamics, project managers, business constraints, tools, cultural differences, and communication styles.
2. Describe complexities
I aim to provide a genuine and thorough depiction of the realities involved in project work, one that accurately reflects the complexities and nuances encountered while navigating through them.
3. Quick and clear
I'd like to share some brief posts with you, each featuring a project, its title, a short description, and the timeframe of its occurrence.
Most of these posts will revolve around topics related to the projects I'm currently engaged in.

Behind the scenes
The biggest challenge I had was...
Trying to understand a different way of living, which was the main reason behind their way of doing. With different personal objectives and problems that me, as an European guy, I've never faced.
We unexpectedly learnt…
We will for sure impact negatively the life of the drivers which were involved in "bad" things. Even if the reasons were very personal and really linked to bad life conditions or sick familiaries, our solution will help the client but will affect the users.
Our first attempt didn’t work because…
We focused on doing a Happy Flow which was a pattern from other solutions. They challenged everything, also the english language which was their main language at work and also they watch TV Shows and US Sport events all the day.
I was really surprised by…
Discovering how emphatic my team is when they have to solve complex problems which are really linked only to personal reasons.
We had to take a step back because…
We have back a lot of bad KPIs; no one used the solutions and they really understood how to hack the solution. This gave us back the feeling to back a step back and understand how we can reach the goal without being brutal.
I am most proud of…
How we switched all from different solutions, different successful test to a new version thanks to daily experience of all of the members of the team, from Design to IT and Business.
Discovering a new Project for the WFP about how to solve a real-daily-life problem about millions of $ wasted on repairing vehicles, fuel consumption and cultural limits.
Experiencing very difficult moments to understand how to interview people which are going to create a bias if only I contact them and I propose the interview. My ideas are going around the creation of an unconventional environment in which I can talk with them about various personal interests like football, TV shows, etc.
We finally defined the first questionary for the daily check in. But most of the are saying they don't speak english; just because they don't want to do the daily check.
Using normal questions was the reason behind the "I don't speak english" statement from the users of the app. Even if it was an excuse, we needed to tackle it fast; our solution was a lucky solution discovered in an Euronics (Italian electronics shop), thanks to their in-store feedback tool placed close to the shop cashier.
Many drivers recognize that when they're offline, Transportation Managers can't access any data. This presents an advantage for those who prefer not to disclose their actions during trips.
